The Sudo Girl Mentorship program was curated in 2020 after the global pandemic impacted schools worldwide. The school closures of many schools within East Africa created more challenges for South Sudanese girls who at the time already had a lower education enrollment rate. Understanding how the closures of schools not only affected girl students' education opportunities but halted their opportunity to network and grow in this digital age.
With the challenges in mind, our founders decided to create a mentorship program to not only help increase girl education enrollments but assist them in their education journey by providing mentorship, opportunities to increase their network, leadership development exercises, and give them a way to connect virtually. Our program is created by South Sudanese for South Sudanese with the intent to increase girl education enrollment. We believe that educating a girl can change the world. Join our movement!
